Monti-Rago Funeral Home - Individualized and Respectful Services

  • About Monti-Rago Funeral Home

A part of the greater Philadelphia community since 1961, the Monti-Rago Funeral Home has welcomed numerous families as they grieve the death of loved ones. The home has hosted services for individuals from all walks of life, including several members of the local funeral services community. In 2012, the Monti-Rago Funeral Home hosted the family and friends of Joseph Leonetti, head of the Leonetti Funeral Home on South Broad Street.

Monti-Rago has also earned featured mention in the Philadelphia Inquirer, which gave particular honor to the 2004 passing of another local funeral director, Joseph V. Fusco. His coffin traveled from the funeral home to St. Maron's Maronite Catholic Church in a horse-drawn hearse, which funeral home director Mark Rago felt was in keeping with the style and personality of the deceased.

The funeral home continues to welcome families from across the city. Monti-Rago’s recently renovated facilities include two visitation rooms, which can accommodate parties of all styles and sizes. Lounge areas provide space for rest and reflection, while comfortable planning rooms let loved ones be together as they make decisions about funeral services. Families are also welcome to visit the facility's casket and urn selection rooms, which include a broad selection of items.
